Company History and Philosophy

All American Wood Register Co. in Wonder Lake, Illinois is an industry veteran that manufactures premium quality wood registers, mouldings and accessories for the construction trade. Our craftsmen have been making high quality wood products since 1972. The onset of high technology now allows others to make similar products that might look like ours, but can’t perform as well.

Being innovative and listening to our customers has kept All American one of the industry’s leaders. In response to customer suggestions, we made changes in product designs and their service process.

• All American pioneered the use of grooved frames on flush registers to accept the tongues or splines of hardwood and laminate flooring. This allows the registers to not just sit in the floor, but to become a sturdy, integral part of it.

• We also recessed our damper control to make sanding easier for installers, and to eliminate the end-user hazard of stepping on an exposed control.

• Through the years, we have streamlined our manufacturing process by moving into a larger plant and improving our machinery placement to eliminate lost time in material handling.

• We stock our registers in thirty-nine species of wood. It takes a real craftsman to know how to mill all kinds of lumber in a way that gets the most out of each piece, and it’s these craftsmen who make All American’s products what they are.

• All American stocks between eight and ten thousand registers in our warehouse to maintain our same-day shipping tradition.

• The addition of another machine to create custom registers has allowed us to maintain our claim to ship custom sizes and shapes of registers within 48 hours. We manufacture both wood and metal parts inhouse.
